Mad River Valley Towns Added to Local Minutes

March 14, 2025

Local Minutes has indexed the documents found on the websites for Warren, Moretown, Waitsfield, and Fayston. This means their documents are now available on Local Minutes, and we will check nightly for new documents to appear on their town websites (therefore they will typically be available on Local Minutes the day after they are posted).

Warren

Kudos to the folks in Warren for having one of the most extensive archives of documents we've seen so far. There are meeting minutes, agendas, notices, reports, decisions, forms, and more dating all the way back to 1999. Take a look at their archive here: https://www.warrenvt.org/resources/documents/

It's worth noting that many of these documents are scanned, so we perform OCR on those documents to extract the data from the scanned documents. This works well, but does mean that there is a chance that some minor errors are introduced in the process, and clicking on a citation will not overlay a rectangle around the relevant passage (but will still scroll to the relevant page in the document).

Moretown

Moretown also has an impressive archive of documents, with a very helpful and consistent naming scheme for the files. There is coverage for meeting minutes and agendas dating back as far as 2011.

Waitsfield

We've indexed the 451 documents available on Waitsfield's town website, with records dating back to 2022.

Fayston

Another solid archive with the latest meeting minutes and agendas and documents dating back to 2007 for the Select Board. 1,197 documents in total. See their documents here: https://faystonvt.com/agendas-minutes/
